The Kalesang Kintal Kosong (also known as Si Kaki Kosong) application is an innovative digital platform owned by the Ambon City Government designed to transform vacant land or yards into productive agricultural land.
Initiated by the former Acting Mayor of Ambon, Bodewin M. Wattimena, this innovation aims to strengthen family food security and reduce regional inflation through the cultivation of independent food commodities, such as chilies and vegetables.
This innovation was deemed so successful that it won first place in the Maluku Innovation (MI) Award for its proven effectiveness in stimulating the micro-economy directly from residents' yards.
